At the invitation of Professor Hui Yang of School of Life Sciences, Professor Nicholas A. Peppas, from the University of Texas visited the School of Life Sciences, Northwestern Polytechnical University from May 25th to May 29th for academic exchanges and topic discussions. The meeting was chaired by Professor Hui Yang, some teachers, doctoral students and postgraduate students from the School of Life Sciences attended the meeting.
Professor Peppas is a global leader in the fields of biomaterials, drug delivery systems and bionanotechnology. Through a multidisciplinary approach, he established the basic principles and rational design methods of biomedical systems, and developed controlled-release devices and models for the diffusion of drugs and proteins in biological tissues. During the meeting, Professor Peppas introduced the current frontier research content of biological nanomaterials, and conducted indepth discussion and guidance for the young teachers and doctors participating in the conference. Through this exchange, teachers and students learned more about the development direction and cutting-edge technologies in the field of biomaterials and nanomaterials technology. At the same time, everyone has a deeper understanding of how to publish high-impact factor articles and how to deal with experimental data.
