Golden autumn sends cool, sweet osmanthus fragrance. From August 29th to 31st, the School of Life Sciences welcomes new classmates of 2020. 60 undergraduates, 73 masters, and 16 doctors came to the School of Life Sciences with dreams and opened a new chapter in their lives.
The school’s party secretary Zhang Wei and principal Wang Jinsong came to the college’s orientation site to inquire about the progress of new students’ registration, visit and sympathize with the faculty and student volunteers working on the front line of the orientation, and provide guidance on the college’s talent training.
The college’s Dean Yin Dachuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (in charge) Yu Hui and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Zhao Yuanyuan visited the freshmen’s dormitory, communicated face-to-face with the freshmen and their parents, and encouraged them to develop good study habits and devote themselves to a new university life.
On the evening of the 31st, the welcome party for the 2020 freshmen of the School of Life Sciences was held online. The members of the college leadership team, freshmen class spomsors, instructors, all freshmen and some parents attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Yuanyuan.
Yu Hui extended a warm welcome to the 2020 freshmen. It is recommended that students learn to deal with others, learn to face setbacks, learn to think independently, and learn to write papers. He wished the students a new world in the field of life sciences with their original aspirations to be good, learn, and pursue progress.
Yin Dachuan gave a detailed introduction from three aspects of the development history, current situation and development prospects of life sciences. He said that after 16 years of development, the School of Life Sciences now has a sound talent training system, a sound organizational structure and advanced experimental conditions. It focuses on the development of extreme environmental biology, special medicine and other distinctive scientific research, and has achieved Rich research results.
