Our research interests focus on:
1) Mechanobiology and cellular biology of motor system: to investigate the role of loading/unloading in structure/function alteration of bone/skeleton muscle/articular cartilage, also the role of signal transduction and intercellular communication in mechanical response, disease production/development, and the relationship between these organs.
2) Biology under special environment, to investigate the physiological mechanism under microgravity/hypoxia/loading/unloading in cellular, tissue, organ and model animal level.
3) Biological imaging and metastatic tumor of bone diagnosis and therapy, to study and develop new sensing methods based on functional nanomaterials especially polymer-based materials for the detection and imaging of disease markers in musculoskeletal system, also to develop new multifunctional delivery systems that can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer bone metastases.
