Introduction
Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is building and developing a frontier crossed team consist of space technology, biology, materials and engineering, relying on the school of life science of NPU, Freie Universität Berlin(one of Eliteuniversität in Deutschland), Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung. Our research directions include: developing new theories, techniques and applications of modern space biomaterial research based on the biological perception, response and adaptation to the space environment, researching space biotechnology development and transformation issues and studying big data analysis of the impact of spatial environment on living organisms.
Chinese members of our team:
Professor Qi Zhenhui (person in charge in China): Selected for the Recruitment Program for Young Professionals of “Thousand Talents Plan”, mainly engaging in space biomaterials, virus inhibitors, mass spectrometry (complex mass spectrometry and macromolecular mass spectrometry) research.
Associate Professor Ge Yan: mainly studying cell membrane and membrane protein dynamics, developing and designing new biofunctional materials by understanding and understanding biophysical processes and operating rules.
Assistant Professor Jin Lin: Using theoretical calculation methods to study the structure, reaction and spectral properties of proteins and sugar molecules, explaining experimental phenomena.
Postdoctor Wang Yangxin: the main research direction is the preparation of porous organic polymers and their applications in heterogeneous catalysis, adsorption separation and sensing.
